SHUBUNKIN
MUTATION

"Shubunkin, commonly shortened as "Shu", is a mutation that causes the coat to completely mottle. It locks the base coat to a white, and allows from a vibrant red, reddish yellow-orange, black, or blackish blue patching to occur all across the body. Its extremely distinct look is considered to be an even further mutation of the white genes, chimera, or both at once. The spotting is always significant, and usually clusters into large spots/areas with minor spotting spread across the body. "
