"Blackened is a modifier that effects certain markings, like Points. Blackened, as its name suggests, takes the original color and darkens it to a mahogany or blackish bay color. "

POINTS | SOMATIC | GILA

HEMO  | KUBO

(Effected by Blackened, as of *Oct 20th, 2020)

COLOR TIPS:

☛ Must be chosen from the above palette (or something similar in nature to the described color)

☛ Must follow all the rules / guidelines of the marking it effects, only color is being effected.

☛ Colors can be placed so that points appear almost melanistic and disappearing into (especially) Black coats.

MELANISTIC(+Bkm)

"Melanistic is a mutated modifier, that is caused by the breeding of two blacken effected sukas, and has a 25% chance of occurring when the breeding conditions are met. Melanistic sheds the coat of most markings (aside from white/specialty marks that will disclose otherwise.) in favor of subtle highlightly or lowlighting on the suka's coat, in browns or greyish browns.

Melanistic is a dominant modifier, and will cancel out other Modifiers (like Greying), visually unless mentioned otherwise.

*But note that all genes stay on the suka's import info!

COLOR TIPS:

☛ Must be chosen from the above palette (or something similar in nature to the described color)

☛ White markings must be softened to the grey-brown palette below, or you can omit all white markings instead.

☛ All free markings are acceptable on a Melanistic, so long as they stick to the palettes.

☛ If Greying or Restricted Greying is present, then white markings may remain white/cream in color.
