"Quilled is an optional modifier, that will bring out the natural properties of more heavily furred areas, like the upper body, or entire body for coat types like Wookie. Much like Pearl, Quilled can either add a sheen (and depth) to a part of the suka's coat. Unlike Pearl however, Quilled can also add color tone shifts and mix in markings together to start creating little to no distinction between each marking. Basically adding a fur texture atop the whole suka, this allows for markings to "bleed" into one another, adding an overall feel of softness to the design. Quilled can be chosen to show, or not show, it's up to the designer.

If a suka who does not have much hair shows Quilled, then a very minimal effect of Quilled can be present (either in just the ear fur, tail fur, or just along the cheeks and rump)

COLOR TIPS:

☛ If a suka who does not have much hair shows Quilled, then a very minimal effect of Quilled can be present (either in just the ear fur, tail fur, or just along the cheeks and rump)

☛ Quilled's fur texture should add depth to the marking shapes and colors, but it should not literally shade in the whole suka (with any cell shading, greyscale, etc).

☛ If one chooses not to use Quilled , you do not have to put (Carried), it is implied that Quilled may or may not show at free will.

☛ Quilled must be mostly soft blended throughout the coat or markings it touches, overly 'rough' or static fur texturing won't pass.

Quilled can allow for "color shifts" that can effect any part of the base coat or its markings, like so:

This Blonde suka has shifted into a few shades of tawny, and a light grey, occuring over any areas that would be considered more heavily furred than another. (cheeks , neck , nape , rump, tail, etc)

Quilled's fur texture should allow markings to "bleed" into one another:

We can see suka (1) has Cuff and Collar mixing/bleeding into one another as well as the base coat. This would be enough of a minimum expression of Quilled, so long as it's effecting 2 markings of the suka (one of those markings capable of just being a modifier + base coat)

On suka (2) we see Quilled effecting pretty much all of the markings we can see. Quilled can cause typically harder edged markings to soften, bleeding into one another.
