Lilac

+Li / MODIFIER

lilac.png

"Lilac is a modifier that tints the coat (and most if not all markings) to a blue, in some cases, a deeper blue/purple range with elements of isabella coloring. Markings that are specific in color (i.e Kubo, Foxglow, Ember, etc) will not be effected by Lilac unless suggested otherwise. Lilac sukas tend to have blue-isabella flesh (tongue included), and light colored eyes of lavender, amber/yellow, or silver/ice; however, it is not unlike a suka to have other eye colors, it's just not as common (flesh is locked to blue or isabella but you may adjust palettes.)

Markings (that are not heavily defined as needing to be a specific color, such as Cuff or Underbelly.) can be any color relative to the base of your lilac suka, meaning markings can be more slightly blue on a regular lilac, but maybe on a steel grey lilac your markings can be very blue/purple. Be mindful that the colors should work 'naturally' together and not look out of place, overly saturated, or lowly contrasted.

Lilac effects other modifiers EXCEPT Seal Family/Pearl/Restricted Greying modifiers, adjust mods like Jay/Bloom/or Busan accordingly to your lilac base.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN LILAC IS PRESENT

☛ BROWN/TAN/ACCENT COLORED MARKS: Can adhere to the below optional muted brown palette, but do not have to. In the event that your accents/brown marks need corrections, defaulting to the provide palette can help you pass corrections.

☛ LILAC CREME (+Cr/+Li): The 'creme' base becomes a soft blue/white, all Creme marking rules apply, you may use the Creme Tan/Brown palette for "very dark markings" (like somatic/gilla/liner), or choose from the REGULAR lilac base palette for dark markings.

☛ LILAC GREYING (+Gy/+Li): Lilac Greys can follow all available Greying variations, users may use black/dark blue OR pale/blue flesh if the suka is a LILAC greying. The Lilac Grey base is significantly more 'medium' in value that the regular greying palettes, these sukas are often indistinguishable from a regular Blue suka without looking closely for the greying variations.

☛ STEEL GREYING LILAC (+Gy/+Li on Blue color base): Steel Grey now becomes a lavender/purple hued base with muted pink/brown brown/tan palettes. Even white becomes a tinted purple color. Steel Grey Lilac is still OPTIONAL, users may opt out of the Steel Greying varition for any of the other Greying variations if they want.

☛ SHUBUNKIN LILAC (+Li on Shubunkin mutation): Opens up shubunkin spotting to include purple/indigo and a deeper range of blues/black. White must still be the base on your Shu, and there should not be more than 3 layers of color spotting (white -> colored spots (x3) -> darkest spots/black). Contrast/color pairing should be clean and clear on your Lilac shu, coloring may be slightly adjusted in value (but not hue).
