"King is a distinct spotting marking that can also be achieved as a combo marking when Owl + Grease + Mottled are present. The marking always carried tear marks and a dorsal stripe down the back, but the type of spotting varies greatly. King sits atop all other markings aside from Somatic, Points, and White Markings, Urajiro may either be atop or under King. "

COLOR TIPS:

☛ King is two-toned/gradient/color friendly so long as the colors chosen are darker than the base, however the outside of the rosettes/spotting/dorsal/tear marks must be darker (or the same) color as the inside of rosettes/spotting.

If it can occur on a real big cat, then it can occur using King! Face spots are often not accompanied by large rosettes, but some may appear.

MINIMUM RANGE NEEDED: Dorsal & Tear markings are REQUIRED (though you may alter the thickness), around the eyes/ear tips are optional and these areas must remain solid. The lighter blue areas must all be touched by spotting by at least 25% total.

MINIMUM HOTSPOTS: Where the marking is most likely to occur in its 'minimal' form.
