"Dapple is a spotted marking that occurs across the body and usually congregates towards one or more specific areas such as the torso, the hips/shoulders, or the head. Dapple can spread out across the entire body but usually fades out in some way, shape , or form towards the edge of where it's placed. The marking is usually white or near white, but can also be lowered in opacity, set to overlay/softlight, or a color significantly lighter than the base. Dapple can take a circular shape or a more 'fur like' shape, like Owl, or be created with a textured brush. "
