TAMING FERALS
“Ferals”, they’re anything but.
Moving as fast as their feet can take them, some are scarred by their horrors and some so seemingly untouched by the devastation of man; but one thing is true, they are all in fact, highly domesticated. Within the endless desert of Tilopila, manufacturing Tsiuri that can survive within city walls has become a booming business. People flock to take captive these highly ‘tamed’ creatures, however one wrong move, one cage left slightly ajar, and that Tsiuri is gone. Running, fearful, lost and looking for the slightest bit of safety, anything but the life in which they were raised. Will you help these ‘ferals’?
Taming allows users to claim escaped and randomly made Tsiuri for their own, by befriending the animal or in some way winning their approval. Taming is not required, and is left extremely random.
How Does It Work?
Is It Fair or Worth the Attempt?
(we understand taming seems to be a big issue within the ARPG community, we will continuously work on this system should it ever not feel fair and fun for users.)
▶ Ferals pop up completely at random, however the front page will always advertise the newest available feral.
▶ Slots will be featured underneath a Feral’s page, this indicates how many users may apply for the chance to win the feral.
-
Users will enter their names in a first come first serve manner, the admins will close slots once they are full.
-
The users will then be randomly generated into a list, the first name that pops up is the one who has the first chance to try and tame the feral.
-
In order to tame, the user must write (1,200 w) or draw (75% colored/lined/bg) an encounter with the feral.
-
You will only have 72hrs by the time you are notified to complete your taming entry, or admins will move to the next available name on the list !
-
Certain companions or gifts may increase their odds of winning over the feral, however each user by default has a 1-20 chance of success in taming.
-
If the tame attempt fails, the next user on the randomized list gets to try. This will continue within the already decided randomized list until someone successfully tames the feral. Think of it like a turn based system, everyone gets a turn until someone wins.
-
-
Once the feral is tamed and is transferred to the new owner, don’t fret! All the artwork done that failed taming attempts will receive a free exploration activity roll of the user’s choosing, for each failed image submitted.
-
We feel this gives some sort of participation prize to those who unfortunately did not win.
-
This does not include any of the winner’s failed attempts, as their reward is the feral itself.

Q&A:
▶ How many ferals can I try for?
⇁You may try for as many ferals as you like, however, if you occupy a slot (successfully or not) you must sit out the next feral posting. Meaning if you already had a chance/attempt (even if it is failed) you will be barred from the very next feral opening.
▶ What happens if I never got a chance to attempt to tame, but I occupied a slot?
⇁ Admins will generate one surprise encounter, which has the chance of rolling rewards. We want to make sure no one ‘loses’ out here.
▶ Do odds change depending on the rarity of the feral?
⇁ No they do not, chances will always be 1-20 unless enhancers/companions are applied, good luck!
▶ What dictates how many slots are available for a feral?
⇁ The feral’s rarity dictates this, the more common = the less slots available (as they’re easy to acquire), however the more rare = the more slots available, allowing a bigger pool of people a chance at something that may otherwise be difficult to obtain.
▶ I keep missing out on slot spots, what do I do to fix this?
⇁ Admins will post ferals at all different times of the day and night, however they will not reveal what time exactly or give any sort of warnings. Unfortunately, to prevent common/regulars from sniping up slots, we must keep the posting dates as a mystery to be as neutral and fair as possible.
▶ I won a feral! What specialty tasks do I need to do in order to keep it?
⇁ None! Once a user wins the feral, they win all rights to the feral and must begin at Infante rank like any other Tsiuri, have fun!
▶ If I win a feral and end up not liking it, what can I do with it?
⇁ Admins will allow you to trade and sell away your feral if you so choose, however it must stay within the group (meaning you may not make it a personal non-arpg OC!) So long as you go through all the proper trade/sell channels and it may not be sold for more than its Pricebook value. This is the only moment where rights will be revoked if a user reports you selling the feral for more than what it’s worth by the book.
